The album’s lead single, “Easy To Love,” features the legendary Jamaican drum and bass duo Sly & Robbie, who’ve played on some of his biggest hits including “Wild World,” “Some Guys Have All The Luck,” “Close To You,” and “Housecall” [featuring Shabba Ranks], as well as the new album track, “Every Little Thing.”

  2. geebie says:

  3. Hey…look bye…were’s yah church priest…i’ll drnk some wine and break some bread…but we probably should do some chaliss too!

  4. Nicki says:

Wow! He is here 6 days in advance! He’s on a nice vacation! They must be paying him a lot!

  5. All Clear Now says:

At least a 6-night stay for a 1-night event. No wonder the tickets cost so much!

  6. Unbelievable says:

No diss to Maxi or Shaggy or anyone else but I still think they could have gone with someone relevant. Or current.

    • Lois Frederick says:

These artists are the calibre expected for the World Series preliminary events. For instance in Portsmouth, Spandau Ballet and Wet Wet Wet were the headliners. Similar level to Maxi and Shaggy. All are well known and have had multiple hits albeit from the past. The artists selected for the 2017 events will be a step up in keeping with the main event. I think the artists selected for this weekends concert will appeal to a broad cross section of the community so I have no issue with those picked.

Haters gonna hate, hate, hate….Welcome to our beautiful island paradise Maxi Priest and we hope you truly have a wonderful stay and enjoy our well known Bermudian hospitality

    • Unbelievable says:

I don’t think it’s about hating. I think it’s about being, you know, worth watching. I’ve seen Maxi before and he put on a great show but the line-up doesn’t inspire at all. It feels like the Tony show.

      • FYI says:

Wake up Bermuda, it’s simply an attempt to appease the little Bermudians while the “Haves” simply benefit even more from the financial gains from the America’s Cup.

  8. Maddog says:

Maxi Priest is a classic, appeals to a broad cross section of the community ….and is one of those artists that will always be relevant. A great fit for an America’s Cup celebration in Bermuda, so thanks for being here Maxi Priest! Stay away haters….stay home and watch someone “relevant” on MTV – you know, the talented individuals that must curse, promote violence and throw dollars around to get noticed…very impressive, very talented they are……

    • smh says:

Ill be home…watching things that are relevant!!…AC35 is irrelevant to most of Bermuda. Prep Rally hosted while localsl are working,Kicking local Vendors that have leased a spot from COH out of their spot for a week, and high ticket prices for two old entertainers. Sounds like they catering to the Tuckers Town/Fairlylands house owners that now call themselves Bermudians.

  9. chip says:
