Butterfield Named Best Private Bank In Bermuda
The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited was recently named Best Private Bank in Bermuda 2015 by both US-based Global Finance and UK-based Financial Times’ publications Professional Wealth Management and The Banker.
Commenting on the awards, Nir Sadeh, Senior Vice President and Head of Private Banking at Butterfield said, “We are honoured to have been named best private bank in Bermuda by two of the world’s most respected financial publications.
“The methodology used in determining each of the Awards is slightly different, but both groups clearly recognised the high quality of the services that Butterfield consistently delivers to our clients in Bermuda, and how valuable the efforts of our team are to Butterfield Group as a whole.
“I would like to express my appreciation to everyone on the Butterfield Private Banking team for their dedication to serving our clients efficiently, professionally and with a highly personal touch. That has been—and will continue to be—the basis for the growth and success of Butterfield Private Banking.”
Michael Collins, Butterfield’s Chief Executive Officer, said, “Receiving continued recognition from our peers and journalists working in the financial industry affirms that our client-centric approach is a competitive advantage and is delivering strong financial results within our core wealth management businesses.
“Butterfield Group is focused on growing those wealth management businesses globally, and under that strategy, we have completed key acquisitions over the past two years in Guernsey and Cayman.
“Most recently—in late October— we announced that we had reached an agreement to acquire the private banking trust and investment management businesses of HSBC Bermuda, which will deepen our in-house expertise and broaden our reach in this important market.”
