At approximately 1.15pm this afternoon [Nov 15], crew on board a sailing vessel located on North Shore off Ferry Reach, St. George’s, contacted Bermuda Radio requesting transport assistance as someone on board had suffered what appeared to be a heart attack.
A Bermuda Radio spokesperson confirmed the Fisheries Patrol boat ‘Protector’ was dispatched, making its way to the sailing vessel and transported the patient along with a doctor that was on board the yacht, to an awaiting ambulance located at the Grotto Bay dock.
The ambulance transported the patient to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment with the doctor also travelling in the ambulance to assist.
