Squash Juniors To Take Part In Canadian Open

Six top juniors from the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association will be heading to Niagara-on-the-Lake this coming Thursday to take part in the Canadian Junior Open, which runs from December 12th to 15th.

Charlotte Toogood, Kion Knights, Taylor Carrick [top row], Abigail Brewer, Anaya Smith and Charlie Riker [bottom row] will join over 200 participants from all over the globe to compete in their respective age groups, which range from Under 13 to Under 19.

Assistant Director, Runa Reta, will be coaching the team during the event, said: “The group has been working very hard over the past few months, training almost every day and getting themselves in the best condition they can be in.

“The Canadian Junior Open is one of the most competitive tournaments in the world for juniors, and this offers great experience and exposure to our Bermudian kids. Hopefully, they can get stuck into their matches, compete hard, and take a lot of positive lessons away from this event.”
