Fireminds Appoint Coelho: Non-Executive Chair
IT company Fireminds has announced that former Logic CEO Vicki Coelho has been appointed as its new Non-Executive Chair.
Fireminds Ltd is a 30+ person international technology consulting company providing services in web and mobile development, enterprise software development, cloud solutions and IT support, and it is also the parent company of Premier Tickets, one of Bermuda’s leading ecommerce platforms.
Mrs Coelho has been brought on board to help with sales, business development and the international growth of the company.
CEO Michael Branco said: “This is a real coup for Fireminds. Vicki is extremely well respected and has a wealth of experience in the IT sector. Her appointment is a critical one for us as we seek to further expand and develop new products and into new markets.
“I truly believe that, with Vicki on board, Fireminds will go from strength to strength. This is a very exciting time for the company.
“In addition to helping with company growth, Vicki will have board level responsibilities for governance and strategy of the company. I will continue as Fireminds CEO and lead executive responsible for day to day operations.”
Mrs Coelho will start work full-time on January 1, 2016, but has already spent some time with the Fireminds’ team.
Prior to her role at Logic, Mrs Coelho was General Manager of North Rock Communications, a privately held telecommunications firm and led the company through exponential growth for 15 years.
In her roles she successfully led a strong Bermudian team that provided many entry level positions that enabled development, training and leadership skills.
Mrs Coelho currently serves as a director for Electronic Commerce Advisory Board, Technology Leadership Forum, Dare 2 Be, Bermuda’s International Women’s Forum as a founder, director and treasurer.
Past directorships include, Bermuda Chamber of Commerce, Business Technology Division; Deputy Chair, Business Bermuda Director and Chairperson. She has degree in HEC from the University of Manitoba, Canada.
“Michael has been at the forefront of many technological innovations in Bermuda and Fireminds has already demonstrated that it is a market leader. This is a great opportunity to help a 100 percent Bermudian-owned firm establish a foothold in international markets,” said Mrs Coelho.
She added: “I am absolutely delighted to have been asked to take this post and am really looking forward to working closely with Michael and the many talented staff he employs.”
