Harness Pony Racing Season Action Continues

Harness Pony Racing at the National Equestrian Center recently resumed with a full slate of action, with Philip Correia, Candyce Martin, Damien Tucker, and Ryan Burrows emerging as winners on the day.

In the first race of the day, Philip Correia in the bike of Pocket de Gold clocked the fastest time in the 1:05/0 – 1:06/0 Time Bar Class when they clocked 1:04&3, putting one leg outside the Time Bar; second place went to Tyler Lopes in the bike of Cherokee’s Ironman, who clocked 1:04&4, also getting a leg out.

Candyce Martin in the bike of Shady’s Liberty, and Damien Tucker in the bike of Brona’s Girl, also put a leg out of the 1:09/3 – 1:10/3 Time Bar Class; Brona’s Girls clocked a time of 1:08&1, while Shady’s Liberty clocked 1:08&2.

In the 1:05 to 1:06 Time Bar Class, Heat 1, Pocket de Gold with Philip Correia in the bike clocked a winning time of 1:04&3, while Tyler Lopes in the bike of Cherokee’s Ironman finished second with a time of 1:04&4. Dylan DeSilva in the bike of Casmir Comotion finished third with a time of 1:05&1, and Kirista Rabain in the bike of Nite Dreamer finished fourth with a time of 1:07&4.

Damien Tucker in the bike of Brona’s Girls won Heat 2 a time of 1:09&3 to 1:10&3 Time Bar Class; Tucker clocked a time of 1:08&1, while Shady’s Liberty was second with a time of 1:08&2. Candyce Martin in the bike and Inwood’s Progress was third with Christian Truran in the bike, clocking a time of 1:09&4.

Ryan Burrows won Heat 3 in the 1:06&1 – 1:07&1 Time Bar Class by recording a time of 1:07&4. Riding Simsfield Hardtimes, A Touch of Red with Ryan Manders in the bike finished second with a time of 1:08&1, while Approved Credit with Kiwon Waldron finished third with a time of 1:08&2, and Lucas Bridges in the bike of Colonel’s Maestro finished fourth with a time of 1:08&1.
