Basketball: Crossfire Ballers & Twisters Win
The Cellone Island Basketball League resumed after the Christmas break at the CedarBridge Academy Gymnasium saw 170 points scored in a Double Header.
First game of 2016 saw the Crossfire Ballers defeat the Court Kings 44- 38 in a hard fought defense game, Dean Jones scored 18 points for the Crossfire Ballers, while Jericho Tucker scored 13 points for the Court Kings.
The second game saw the # 1 seed team Twisters defeat the Rimrockers 52-36 and move to a record of 14-1, the league’s top scorer Kevin Stephens led the Twisters with 28 points, while the Rimrockers got 10 points from Jaime Cerdanio.
