BHCS Continues To Assist KEMH MRI Patients

January 18, 2016

Last week Bermuda HealthCare Services offered extended hours for MRI patients in response to the temporary unavailability of MRI at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, and they said that upwards of 60 patients have received their MRIs at BHCS since extended service began.

BHCS Medical Director Dr. Mahesh Reddy said, “Here at Bermuda HealthCare Services we have continued to provide the same excellent standards and patient care during these extended hours. Feedback from both referring physicians and patients have been very positive with many patients commenting on how impressed they are with our MRI department as well as the comfort and openness of our Siemens Magnetom Espree 1.5T MRI scanner.

Dr. Reddy continued, “We view this as an opportunity to give back to the community. The team at Bermuda Healthcare Services has risen to the occasion with everyone working together; calling patients in the evening to schedule their MRI and staying late to be here while we keep our office open. We are particularly proud of our MRI technologist, Michelle Yanew. She has worked tirelessly to ensure that continuity of care for Bermudians is not compromised during the unfortunate downtime at KEMH.

Referrals should be made through 236-2810 during normal working hours. All inquiries should be sent to Marynell Goolsby at mgoolsby@bhcs.bm.
