Roller Derby Recruitment Day Set For January 10
Bermuda Roller Derby is looking for new recruits of all skill levels to join their team in 2016, with participants required to be 18 or older.
The team will offer a demonstration game and sign up opportunity on Sunday, January 10 from 2.00pm through 5.00pm at the Pembroke Community Club in Spanish Point.
A spokesperson said, “We need strong, dedicated, females to join the team. We need enthusiastic males and females to referee. We need a core group of people off skates [of all ages] to act as non-skating officials during games.
“No skates? No problem. We have spare skates and will lend out our skates for you to try on.”
“No experience? Also, not a problem. Half of us learned how to skate for Derby.
