Dandy Town Defeat Devonshire Colts 8 – 3
The Dandy Town Hornets claimed a big win in this weekend’s Premier Division football action defeating the Devonshire Colts 8 – 3 at the St. John’s Field.
The Dandy Town Hornets made their statement in the first 45 minutes when they held a 6 – 1 lead at the break. Fabian Frankson gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead in the 13th minute, and K’Wonde Lathan doubled the Dandy Town Hornets lead six minutes later with a header.
Damon Ming would make it 3 – 0 to the home team with a goal in the 23rd minute and then four minutes later Ming would strike again to make it 4 – 0.
Angelo Simmons would open up a five goal lead for the Dandy Town Hornets when he scored in the 29th minute, then things went from bad to worse for the Devonshire Colts when an own goal was scored in the 42nd minute to make it 6 – 0, but on the stroke of half time an own goal at the other end made it 6 – 1.
The Devonshire Colts would pull within four goals when Eli Smith scored in the 51st minute, but Ming would restore the Dandy Town Hornets five goal lead when he completed his hat-trick in the 60th minute.
Clevelyn Crichlow would score for the Devonshire Colts in the 77th minute to make it 7 – 3, but Seoin Darrell would find the back of the net in the 87th minute to earn the Dandy Town Hornets a 8 – 3 win.
