I phoned the police yesterday to inform them I saw him on December 27th, in Shelly Bay on the street where he lives. They didn’t even seem to know where he lived (nor did they ask me for my contact details). I live on the same (very small) street and nobody has been by to ask anyone if they’ve seen him, or what his routine is. He was waiting by the road with a bag/backpack on the 27th, as if waiting for a car to stop and pick him up (heading towards town).

He normally takes the bus everywhere. He crosses North Shore Road from his home, and walks down the few steps to the Railway Trail. He then either walks left or right, depending on which bus stop he goes to. He walks that way pretty much every day. He also is often at the Shelly Bay Marketplace area, and has been seen across the road from there on the rocks by the water with friends a few times in the recent past.

His house is all dark, doesn’t look like he’s been there. There is also currently a taxi parked in his yard which we’ve never seen before. He does a lot of yard work for his neighbours, so if police would actually just reach out maybe someone could help.

I’m a little discouraged that they know so little, and haven’t really looked… as I mentioned, nobody has been by our street looking for him or any information. Have they even checked his house? Who does the taxi belong to? All these questions.

I’m also concerned that maybe he was doing his walk home on the trail or rocks. If he slipped or anything happened to him, he can’t yell out for help, as very little sound comes out. Has anyone searched the trails? It was too dark when I got home last night, and looks like it will be today again. I don’t know of any family members that he has to reach out to, he lives on his own. If there is any family, please come by his street and knock on our doors.

I suggest that maybe YOU go to the police instead of waiting for them to come to you since you know so much. Just a suggestion.

        • Concerned Neighbour says:

I did. I contacted them yesterday, as I wrote in the post. Thanks.

        • Toodle-oo says:

Sorry but I just have to ask if you’ve ever been involved as either the innocent party or the knowledgeable one and had dealings with the police ?
If you had , as many times as I have , you wouldn’t be making that statement .

Also , this is great news that Mr Davis is ok !

        • Concerned Neighbour says:

I did contact the police yesterday as mentioned in the post. Thanks.
