AFB On Shortlist Of Private Client Awards Events

March 3, 2016

Appleby Fiduciary Business [AFB] has been shortlisted for ‘Trust Company of the Year’ in the prestigious Citywealth Magic Circle Awards 2016.

The awards celebrate the best advisors and managers in the global wealth management industry and the nomination follows AFB’s success at the Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards in January, where it was named runner up ‘Trust Company of the Year’ in both the Isle of Man and Jersey.

AFB employs more than 350 staff across nine offshore jurisdictions including Bermuda, where the Hamilton office has a team of more than 90 employees.

Rory Gorman, Managing Director of the Bermuda office, said:  “Our private client team works to ensure that every client receives prompt, thoughtful and personalised service.

“Many of our private clients have been with us for a generation or more and see us as a trusted advisor, and we look to carry this same model of service forward into future years with the upcoming launch of our new brand identity.”

AFB Chief Executive Officer Farah Ballands has also been included in the shortlist for ‘Women in Wealth Management’ in WealthBriefing’s European Awards 2016. The category recognises women in private banking or wealth management who are an inspiration to both female clients and colleagues.

She said: “It is gratifying to be shortlisted alongside such a range of professional and highly capable women in the WealthBriefing awards.”

Both the WealthBriefing and Citywealth awards ceremonies will be held in London in May.

AFB completed a management buyout from the Appleby Group on 31st December 2015.
