Armed Robbery At Pasta Basta In Hamilton

At around 9:50pm this evening, police responded to an armed robbery at Pasta Basta in Hamilton, with the police saying that a “lone male entered the restaurant brandishing what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money.”

A police spokesperson said, “Around 9:50pm on Sunday, March 13th police officers responded to a reported armed robbery at Pasta Basta on Elliot Street in the City of Hamilton.

“It appears that a lone male entered the restaurant brandishing what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money. The offender, described as approximately 6 feet tall wearing a red mask, black pants and a brown top, then made good his escape with a quantity of cash.

“He was seen leaving the area riding a white motorcycle. There were no injuries reported.

“Any witnesses or persons that may have information regarding this incident should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.”

    My guess is he got the memo early about who was getting Bermuda status and long term resident jobs. Well the oba never said who was getting the 2000 jobs did they BDA voters.

    At some point a business will not do business with cash, and signs will be posted ” CARDS ONLY , NO CASH ” Pasta Basta, is a nice little restaurant, hope-fully the person will be caught.

      I agree, I would rather pay some credit card commission than put my employees and myself in danger. I would do cards only after 5 pm so I wouldn’t alienate any student business.
