Free Public Concert Set To Be Held Today

March 17, 2016

United States Consul General to Bermuda Mary Ellen Koenig is inviting everyone on the island to a free public concert at the Anglican Cathedral on Thursday, March 17, in aid of Bermuda’s Eliza DoLittle Society.

Consul General Koenig said, “I would like to invite everyone, visitors as well as residents, to the lunchtime free, public concert at the Anglican Cathedral on Thursday, March 17, in aid of Bermuda’s Eliza DoLittle Society. The concert will feature the Harvard Din and Tonics, the Radcliffe Pitches, and the Harvard Krokodiloes.

“They will be joined by Bermuda’s own En Harmony, composed of seven young men from the Bermuda Institute.

“This is the tenth consecutive year that the Harvard a cappella groups have volunteered their time and talent to aid a Bermuda charity, having raised over $10,000 for various Bermuda charities in the past.

“While the concert is free, the Eliza DoLittle Society will accept voluntary donations.  One hundred percent of the donations will go to that charity, which provides food for those in need in Bermuda.

“These young Americans are cultural ambassadors for the United States, helping to create a foundation of trust with other people and building relationships that endure over time.

“Please join me for the concert on Thursday, March 17, from 12.15pm to 1.15pm at the Anglican Cathedral on Church Street. I can promise that you will leave the concert feeling energized and inspired from having contributed to a good cause and having heard these talented young Americans and Bermudians.

“All are welcome. I look forward to seeing you there.”
