Customer Payment Changes At Bermuda Gas
Bermuda Gas said they would like to advise its customers of changes that will be implemented as a result of the ownership transition from Ascendant Group Limited to RUBiS Energy Bermuda Ltd.
“As announced on April 14th, Bermuda Gas is in the process of being sold by Ascendant Group Limited to RUBiS Energy Bermuda Ltd.”, states Bermuda Gas General Manager, Judith Uddin.
“The sale will be finalized on April 29th, 2016 with RUBiS taking over operations on May 2nd, 2016. As a result, there will be immediate changes to bill payment options and barbecue cylinder refills.”
Effective 2:00pm on Friday, April 29th, 2016 customers will no longer be able to make account payments to BELCO Cashiers, through BELCO drop boxes or in person at the Bermuda Gas Administration Offices.
Payments may be made through the following ways:
- Online banking with Butterfield Bank, Clarien Bank and HSBC;
- Mailing a check with account details to P.O. Box HM 373, Hamilton HM BX; and
- Calling Bermuda Gas at 295.3111 and making a debit/credit card bill payment over the phone.
In addition, Bermuda Gas’ LPG Operations Centre on Serpentine Road will no longer be open for public access and therefore, Bermuda Gas will not be providing barbecue gas cylinder refills at that location.
Customers wishing to purchase or refill a barbecue gas cylinder may do so through any RUBiS Gas Station island-wide. The 33lb cylinders typically used for forklifts may be exchanged at the RUBiS East Broadway location.
Bermuda Gas is in the process of setting up additional payment options and will communicate to customers once those arrangements have been finalized.
“Bermuda Gas is fully committed to making this transition as seamless as possible to our customers and look forward to continuing to provide the best service possible. For further information, call 295.3111,” the company said.
With the Debit/Credit Card Payments – will the banks be placing charges on top of the payments, I think it is $2.++ per dollar
Really? I’ve never been charged for a local debit or credit card payment.
Stop talkin’ SH*T!!!
BNTB currently charges $0.25 for online bill payments, there is no corresponding charge if you pay by credit/debit card (unless the retailer applies an admin fee).
me neither
BELCO do add a charge for credit cards…
The business pays the credit or debit card fee. Not the consumer.
What about refilling smaller canisters, I have one on my boat that required filling at the Serpintine Lane depot? It isn’t swappable
