Purvis Primary Set To Celebrate 70th Anniversary
Purvis Primary School is getting set to celebrate its 70th anniversary on Friday, April 29, with the public invited to attend in order to “celebrate the past and look forward to the future.”
The celebration will include history retold by students, a time capsule to be reclosed for another 10 years, display of photos, and ice cream and cake.
The event poster says, “We would love to see former students and former teachers come out and join us. Former students can send in photos for our slide show.”
“If you still have your uniform, report cards, or anything special that you received or had while here at Purvis, please bring it by so that we can display it; you will get it back.
“What do you remember? Do you know anyone that was in the first class way back in 1946? We want to hear from you, we want to see you. Let’s go down memory lane. All are welcome to attend.”
