BELCO No Longer Accepting Cash At Gibbons

June 22, 2016

BELCO is advising its customers that, for security reasons, cash payments will no longer be accepted at the Gibbons Company bill payment drop box location; only payment by cheque will be accepted.

A spokesperson said, “Customers wishing to make cash payments on their BELCO accounts may do so at the BELCO Head Office on Serpentine Road and at its Somerset and St. George’s locations.

“Cash payments may also be made at The Money Shop inside the Washington Mall; however, it should be noted that The Money Shop does levy a fee for this service.

“Other payment options include online payment at www.belco.bm or through HSBC, Butterfield and Clarien Bank electronic banking services.”

How can Beloc justify raising my already sky high facilities charge of $49.50 per month to an astonishing $62.50 per month??? This is a 25% increase and it is highway robbery. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Disgusting.

What are you going to do little one? Just fall in line like a good customer. You have no “power” to do anything about it. no pun intended.

I should add that back in 2007 this same charge was only $20.00 per month!!!
