Futsal: SCC, Talent FC Draw & Atletico Wins
Recent futsal action on the island saw a draw between SCC and Talent FC, while Atletico notched a win over C-Side to maintain their unbeaten record.
In the first match, a much improved Talent jumped out to an early lead and at half-time they led SCC by a score of 3 to 2. SCC came back in the second half and scored two goals to Talent’s one to even the game up at four all at the end.
Justin Corday was MVP for SCC. Andrew Lee was outstanding in goal for Talent and made a number of incredible saves to keep SCC from running away with the game.
In game two, Atletico maintained their unbeaten record, although C-Side kept it close toward the end of the match. In the first half, Atletico jumped out to an early lead and at half-time were ahead 5 to 2. C-Side matched Atletico in the second-half with both teams scoring three goals each, but at the end Atletico won the game 8 to 5.
Jorge Sanchez was outstanding for Atletico with 1 goal and Julian Carpenter MVP for C-Side, scoring 2 goals.
Games resume at 6.00pm on Saturday, June 11 at the Bermuda College gymnasium.
