Mayor of St. George Quinell Francis hosted a public Town Hall meeting this evening [June 16] at the Penno’s Wharf Terminal Building, with the speakers including Minister of Tourism, Transport and Municipalities Michael Fahy; Minister of Public Works Craig Cannonier and Minister of National Security Jeff Baron. A number of topics were discussed during the meeting including the Swing Bridge, tourism, policing in the east end and more.

I would build the entire thing out of concrete to a minimal height and to last for centuries.
No high tech gadgetry to fail or rely on, no out side sources for energy and maintenance. Simplicity is the key using all Bermuda labor.
The alternative::: fill it in with a road on top at a fraction of the cost,using underwater drain tubes, we do not need another monument ?
