Men’s Futsal League: HPWC & Footy Force Win
The latest round of action in the men’s futsal league saw HPWC defeat Talent FC by a score of 5 to 3, while Footy Force defeated SCC by a score of 8 to 7.
HPWC defeat Talent FC
In the first game, HPWC edged Talent FC by a score of 5 to 3. In the first half, both teams had difficulty scoring against each other and at half-time the score was 2 to 2.
In the second-half HPWC slowly pulled away, scoring 3 more goals to Talent’s 1. Chris Caisey was MVP for HPWC with 2 goals and Brian Fubler was outstanding for Talent scoring 1 goal.
Footy Force defeat SCC
In the second game, second place Footy Force and SCC battled right up to the end with Footy recording the win by a score of 8 to 7. The first half saw both teams go back and forth with Footy holding a 4 to 3 lead at half-time.
The second-half was no different with both teams scoring 4 goals each. Ian Coke was outstanding for Footy scoring 3 goals with Idrees Sharieff MVP for SCC with 3 goals.
