June 18, 2016

After the much anticipated Bermuda Heroes Weekend kicked off with the ‘Five Star Friday’ event last night [June 17] at the North Field at the National Sports Centre, the second event in the BHW festivities got underway, with crowds of people enjoying themselves at the J’Ouvert celebration.

The BHW promo for the event said, “The J’Ouvert Celebration Of Our Heroes will be held from 3am until 8am! The event will take place at the Michael Preece Softball Stadium at Bernard’s Park in Pembroke. We look to watch the sunrise while partying to sweet Soca music!”

I am so proud of Bermudians this morning after 2 massive events WE SHOWED UP AND SHOWED OUT in our number…. we are showing the world RAIN ,BLOW OR SHINE we know how to fete… nothing sweet me more than hearing 3 visitors to our shores saying they cant wait to come back to Bermuda next year for carnival…. Jason Sukdeo and the rest of the BHW team GREAT JOB.
