    • ron,b says:

who cares if strike are illegal this is about people’s rights?
sit behind your keyboard an shut up or get out

      • Zevon says:

That’s right. Real Bermudians shouldn’t have to take any notice of laws and agreements they enter into.
Anyone who says otherwise should “shut up and get out”, like you said.
        We’re entitled.

      • Keepin' it Real!...4Real! says:

Well I guess it was someone’s right to dismiss them too right?

  2. Luis Suarez says:

Ha-haaaaaa, you couldn’t make this nonsense up!

8 people, so that’s one more than 7.

    Next!…..

  3. San George says:

Hang together guys or hang separately.

  4. Onion Juice says:

Shut de whole F!@#ing island down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • hmmm says:

      Why?

      • jt says:

OJ posts this all the time. He’d prefer we fail under the PLP than any outcome under the OBA.
Visions of grandeur – big fly on the dung pile.

    • serengeti says:

Yeah. Down tools at BLDC. That’ll show us.
Don’t tell me we’ll have to go without whatever BLDC does. Oh no.

    • inna says:

      STFU!

    • ron,b says:

      thats right stop this colonisation

    • wahoo says:

How progressive of you. Yes let us shut de whole f!@#ing island down that will fix everything. Oh wait we need to find out why these guys were dismissed in the first place….don’t we?

    • Sunfish says:

The typical response of a nufinary!

  5. serengeti says:

I have a feeling nobody will detect the slightest difference.

  6. dick francis says:

that’s OK, the BLDC doesn’t do anything anyway

    • Unbelievable says:

Indeed that is correct. That area almost runs itself.

    • wahoo says:

I think they take care of empty buildings in St. Davids but I could be wrong.

  7. M says:

All because they took the word of one j*****s that SHOULD NOT still be working there!! He is the one that should have been fired a long time ago, as he clearly does not know how to do his job. They have gotten rid of any staff member that this ja did not like!! They need to reinstate those two.

  8. hmmm says:

We have a Labour tribunal that can hear their cases…We have Employment law to protect people.

How about the facts being investigated before people jumping to conclusion.

  9. Common Sense Talking says:

Why don’t people reserve comment until there are details of significance?

    • PhD. says:

Because this is an illegal strike REGARDLESS of the reason why. Period.

    • Sunfish says:

why don`t these fools go to work untill we all hear why the 2 were let go??? Fool!

  10. Legalgal says:

On a serious note, what do they do?

    • Zevon says:

Look at it this way. If they’re not needed to begin with, every day they’re on strike saves us useless expenditure.
I say let them stay out.
We will see whether we can manage without them. So far, so good. Haven’t noticed a thing.

  11. Juice says:

Why were the 2 workers let go? Was the dismissal warranted?

  12. Ringmaster says:

Is this the same BLDC where several years ago two Board members paid themselves handsome amounts to “write” a 16 page Report to themselves to say what their job is? Then defied the Minister of Finance to return the money?

  13. Zevon says:

Did that BDLC guy give back the $160,000 he paid himself to write a 16-page report to advise himself how to do his own job?
Or is this about something else?

  14. Want to know says:

Quote honestly, they should all be let go. Two years ago they issued an EOI for Marginal Wharf and have done nothing with the submissions except sit on their butt’s and continue to take the salaries. Send them all packing! What a serious waste of taxpayers funds!

  15. warlord says:

BLDC who, fire them all they are not important

  16. Sunfish says:

Think its time to shut down the BLDC, THEY are not worth their pay anyway bunch of selfrightous idiots!!!

  17. really says:

Wow! you can tell all the Brains of Bermuda have commented on this page, all of whom have NO idea how the real world works, PRIVATIZE the whole Island PLEASE!

  18. Thinking says:

Let’s have a vote for them give them job back yes yes or no no
