“The Youth Employment Programmes continue to provide invaluable opportunities for our young people to obtain real exposure to working environments critical to their future success”, explained the Minister of Economy and Labour, Jason Hayward. “Not only do they help sharpen skills for entering the workforce, but they are also of tremendous help for students figuring out their passion and what career path they should pursue.”

“I thank the Department of Workforce Development team for managing this programme and the many private and non-profit organisations who commit their time, energy, and finances to help our young people succeed.”

The Government spokesperson said, “To meet initial eligibility requirements, High school student applicants must:

  • Hold Bermudian status
  • Be 16 years of age and no older than 18 years of age as of 1 July 2024
  • Provide a resume and one written reference
