Court: Man Charged With Assaulting Woman
Appearing in Magistrates Court today [July 7], a 28-year-old man denied damaging the window of a house as well as unlawfully assaulting a woman.
Howard Ascento pleaded not guilty to unlawfully damaging the bedroom window of a house in Southampton on 21st February and thereby causing damage of $177.
He also denied unlawfully assaulting a woman on two dates in February and causing her bodily harm.
Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe ordered Ascento to re-appear on 21st July when a trial date will be set, and granted Ascento $3,000 bail with one surety and ordered that Ascento must have no contact with the complainant.
