Motorcyclist Injured In Horseshoe Road Collision

Emergency services responded to a serious collision on Horseshoe Road this afternoon [July 26] where a motorcycle rider was injured and taken to the hospital.

Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines said: “Police and first responders attended a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision that took place at 3:25pm at the junction of Horseshoe Road and Palm Valley in Southampton.

“Details are sketchy but it appears that a motorcycle that was traveling east collided with a van that was traveling in the opposite direction.

“The motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital where his condition is unknown at this point.

“The scene has been cordoned off and the relevant officers are processing the scene.

“Police are appealing for witnesses to contact police on 295-0011.”

    I hope all involved recover quickly. My thoughts and prayers go out to friends and family of the rider as well as the driver of the van. I realize that the driver was uninjured but these types of accidents impact all involved, regardless of injury.
