US Consulate To Hold Absentee Voting Workshop
The U.S. Consulate General in Bermuda said they will conduct a nonpartisan absentee voting workshop and registration drive for U.S. citizens residing in Bermuda on August 5, 2016, at the Chubb Building [former Ace building] 17 Woodbourne Avenue from 11.00am – 2:30pm.
“The participants will be introduced to the Federal Voting Assistance program [FVAP] and will be able to get assistance to register for absentee ballots from their respective states. Computer terminals will be available for this purpose,” a spokesperson said.
“The Federal Voting Assistance Program, or FVAP, is charged with providing assistance and outreach to U.S. citizens living outside of the United States. FVAP’s purpose is to: ensure overseas citizens are aware of their right to vote and have the tools and resources to successfully do so – from anywhere in the world. FVAP recommends using the online Voting Assistance Guide available at here.
“Please bring your U.S. passport to the event. Your vote counts!”

No, actually your absentee ballot does not count. Absentee ballots are ONLY counted if they are needed, as in, if there is a tie or it is too close to call.
