14-Year-Old Injured, BPS Appeal For Witnesses

Yesterday afternoon, the police responded to the Berkeley Road, Mount Hill Pembroke area to an incident which “apparently involved some young people and adults,” and resulted in a 14-year-old Pembroke male being “injured in the commotion.”

A police spokesperson said, “Around 3:15pm on Tuesday, August 30th police officers responded to a reported disturbance in the Berkeley Road, Mount Hill Pembroke area.

“Details are still emerging, but the incident apparently involved some young people and adults.

“A 14-year-old Pembroke male injured in the commotion was treated at the scene by attending police officers and EMTs before being transported via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where the teen was medically assessed and discharged later that same day.

“Inquiries continue and persons with relevant information, particularly anyone with video footage of this incident, should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
