Sand Sculpture Competition On September 3
The public is invited to “unleash your creativity using Bermuda’s own natural pink sand” at the 21st annual Bermuda Sand Sculpture Competition, set to be held on Saturday, September 3 at Horseshoe Bay.
Sculpting begins at 10.00am and finishes at 4.00pm, followed by judging and an awards presentation. Entry is free, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes in categories including children, teenagers, families, and open.
There will be cash prizes totaling $2,000 for the top three designs in each category, with an overall prize for best sand sculpture.

Sponsored by the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club and Marina and Alexandra Mosher Studio Jewellery, the competition can be entered by sending team members’ names and category entering to sandcastle.entry@hotmail.com. Admission is free for both spectators and participants.
Leading up to the competition will be free sand sculpting clinics at Horseshoe Bay on September 1 and September 2 from 5.30pm until 6.30pm, where “you can learn the tips, tricks, tools and techniques” of sand sculpting.
