Court: 24-Yr-Old Woman Remanded In Custody
Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [August 8], a 24-year-old woman from New York was charged with possessing over $40,000 in cash knowing it to be the proceeds of crime.
Ms Zoe Bennett was not required to plead to the indictable charge that on 4th August 2016, she possessed just over $40,000 in currency knowing the cash to be the proceeds of crime.
The matter will be tried in Supreme Court.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo remanded Ms Bennett into custody until she appears at the 1st September Supreme Court Arraignments.
