Staff from the U.S. Consulate in Hamilton celebrate the “Our Ocean, One Future” theme at Jobson’s Cove:
The photos and information are accessible through the map to the hundreds of conference participants, including heads of state, scientists, business leaders, NGOs, and others.
This year’s event, titled “Our Ocean, One Future,” builds on international commitments to protect the ocean made at the previous two conferences and focuses on sustainable fisheries, marine pollution, climate-related impacts on the ocean, and marine protected areas.
President Barack Obama delivered the keynote address on September 15, while other speakers include Secretary of State John Kerry, actor and environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio, foreign ministers, and members of civil society and the private sector.
