Bermuda U17 Team To Compete In Trinidad
The Bermuda U17 World Cup team departed Bermuda on Wednesday to travel to Trinidad & Tobago for the second round of the Caribbean Football Union U17 World Cup Qualifiers.
Bermuda has been drawn in Group A with teams from Jamaica, Haiti, and host Trinidad & Tobago. The team contains several players who are based overseas in the UK, as well as players from the 2015 Open Cup Boys U15 Gold Co-champions.
The team after they won Group 3 in the first round earlier this year:
Bermuda opens the group against Jamaica on Sept 16th at 6pm Bermuda time. They will then face the group hosts Trinidad & Tobago at 7:30pm on Sept 18th and close out their participation on Sept 20th against Haiti at 6pm. All matches will be played Alto Bolden Stadium in Trinidad.
The Competition is divided into 2 groups. The group winners plus both runners-up will advance to the CFU Final round to be held September 23rd – 25th. All teams and the best 3rd place will qualify for the CONCACAF U17 Championships 2017.
