Haiti Defeat Bermuda In CFU U/17 Football
The Bermuda U/17 football team took on Haiti in their final Group A match of the Caribbean Football Union [CFU] Under-17 World Cup Qualifiers in Trinidad & Tobago, losing 5-0 to the group winners.
Bermuda’s starting line up was Quinaceo Hunt, Link Smith, Brandon Jones, Edry Moore, Richard Jones, Zuhri Burgess, Keishon Bean, Diego Richardson, Kane Crichlow, MoZiah Selassie, Tokia Russell – Substitutes: Razir Smith-Jones, Simeon Burrows, Robert Edwards, Mical Hardtman, Mateo Isaac, Blaiz Hall, Tai Williams, Jahquari Paynter, and Lejaun Matthews.
We came up against the “Big boys” of Caribbean football nations and unfortunately we didn’t prevail as winners. I hope the lads continue to perfect their craft to excel further on the international stage.
When you concede 14 goals in 3 games you must evaluate and debate tactics and team management. It is clear that there are quite a number of talented players in this age group, however they will only only improve if the coaching standard is equally outstanding.
