Selley Completes Arboricultural Training In Wales
After completing an intensive eight week C&G/NPTC training programme in arboricultural practices with ProClimber Training in South Wales, Curt Selley has returned to the Brown & Company Ltd tree unit.
Martin Brown said, “We are pleased to welcome Curt Selley back to the island and the company. Curt has just returned having completed an intensive eight week C&G/NPTC training programme in arboricultural practices with ProClimber Training in South Wales.
“Curt received training and certification in chainsaw maintenance and operation, felling, tree climbing with rope and harness and aerial rescue, tree pruning and safe operation of chainsaw from harness and safe operation of brush chippers, stump grinders and bucket trucks.”
“Curt rejoins our tree unit and will put his recent training to use as our newest tree surgeon carrying our residential, commercial and utility tree surgery, pruning, felling and management and will continue to develop his arboricultural skills and knowledge.
“The addition of this certification for Curt demonstrates Brown and Company’s commitment to provide continuing professional and personal training and development to our staff and we are pleased to have assisted him in achieving his certifications.
“We are pleased to continue offering Bermuda professional landscape and tree care services to industry leading standards.”
It’s good to see such investment in proper training. I don’t know much about the back story, but I do remember the terrible accident where a gardener died cutting casuarina trees in Point Shares a few years back. Hopefully training like this can help prevent future tragedies. Well done Curt and Brown and Company Ltd!
