Trey Simons Named SIAC Male Runner Of Week

For the second consecutive week, Bermuda’s Trey Simons — who competes for Morehouse College in Atlanta — was named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference [SIAC] Male Runner of the Week.

Simons finished first in the Winthrop/Adidas 33rd Invitational Men’s 8K race with a time of 25:08.8. Simons led a field of 118 runners and recorded an average mile time of 5:03.5. Morehouse finished second out of eight teams with an average time of 28:07 and placed four runners in the top 20.

Last week, Simons took second overall among 41 Division II runners and helped Morehouse to a second-place finish, at the University of Georgia Invitational cross country meet
