‘Art 4 Sail’ Auction Set To Take Place October 21
Art 4 Sail – a collaborative fundraiser between Masterworks Museum and the Bermuda Sloop Foundation – will take place on October 21 from 5.00pm to 9.00pm.
A spokesperson said, “We have distributed 60 fiber glass boats to various schools, businesses, Americas Cup Teams & artists to design and paint over the summer. All 60 sloops were returned in the fall and can be viewed at B.U.E.I where the auction will take place October 21st 5.00pm to 9.00pm.
“Cocktails begin promptly at 5.00pm in which buyers can purchase paddles for $50 which gains them access to the bar in addition to a 25th anniversary masterworks book and art print of the Spirit of the Bermuda. There will be a silent auction offered as well which will have an array of nautical themed prizes and will be open for bidding until 8.00pm sharp.
“The live auction begins at 6.00pm led by Tom Butterfield as our auctioneer. The participant winners from voting in the categories of people’s choice, best high, middle and primary school sloops will be announced before the end of the night and prizes of $1000 will be given out for each of the four categories. All are welcome to attend.
“The funds from this fundraiser will go toward educational programmes in both Masterworks Museum and the Bermuda Sloop Foundation.”
