Will the PAC ever actually look into the Auditor’s report? Not a cursory “the people got value for money” white wash….more along the lines of “outright fraud” as stated by the COI.

Leave little Davey alone…he wants to keep reminding you of how smart he is…or wait!! MAYBE its his math skills??

  3. Onion says:

How can Burt be the PC Chairman now that he has resigned?

    • Onion Juice says:

I guess it will be a conflict of interest.
      Like de Tweed Immigration plot.

    • Reality Check says:

The PAC is appointed by the Speaker of the House. Not the political party.

The rule, enshrined in law, that guides the Speaker is that the PAC must be chaired by a member of the elected Opposition.

It is customary, but certainly not required, that the PAC Chairman is the Opposition member who speaks to Finance.

If due diligence has not been carried out then the public purse is subject to abuse and abuse can be excessive. i.e. if the projected cost of a project is $120,000.00..and the over=run is $20,000.00 we could go with that providing there are supporting documents and professional advice…If final costs reached $200,000.00 than we might look at gross negligence, mis-use of public funds or worse.

Why is Burt still around? I am so tired of this man.
