Photos: ‘Blessing Of Animals’ Ceremony Held
The Anglican Parish of St. George hosted the Blessing Of Animals ceremony at the Unfinished Church in St George’s this afternoon [Oct 2].
The incumbent Reverend Canon W David Raths and Holy Trinity Church Reverend John Stow officiated the ceremony, which was free to attend, with donations accepted in aid of the SPCA welcome.
Music was provided by members of the Salvation Army Band. Attendees who had their animals blessed received a certificate and there were free pet related giveaways available.

The blessing of pets and animals is celebrated on October 4 or on a Sunday near that date. On October 4, people all over the world will be celebrating the feast day of the Patron Saint of Animals, Saint Francis of Assisi.
In remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures, animals are led to churches for a special ceremony called the “Blessing of the Animals”.

I hope that the church will stand up for the dogs that are being killed because of thier breed.
It is we who need the blessings – the animals are innocent enough – and also to ask forgiveness for all the atrocities we have hoisted upon all of the animal kingdom…
Um, were they Baptised too?
Just asking !!!!!!!!!!
And were they Bermudian pets right oj?
