Bernews features a “Photo of the Day” in our email newsletter, social media and app each morning, giving readers a taste of the island to start their day.
Always popular, October’s top photos attracted tens of thousands of likes and shares on social media, and judging by the number of readers’ “likes”, the month’s most popular photos included shots of Flatts, the island’s renowned clear waters and pink sand, beautiful looks at the South Shore, and more.

Generating almost 900 likes and shares on Facebook alone was this look at John Smiths Bay, earning it the top spot on October’s list.

This view of a blue Bermuda beach garnered more than 500 likes and shares, giving it second position on the list.
3] Pink Sands
The island’s pink sands are always a favorite with readers, with this shot earning about 477 likes and shares.
4] Clear Waters
This look at Bermuda’s distinctive clear waters earned around 433 likes and shares.
5] North Shore
This photo of the North Shore earned its place on October’s list by attracting some 426 likes and shares.
6] Flatts Inlet
Boats, land and sea combine in this beautiful photo, which earned itself more than 400 likes and shares on Facebook.
7] Spanish Point
This photo of Spanish Point received ample attention on social media, with readers giving it 393 likes and shares.
8] West End
This photograph of the island’s West End earned about 389 shares and likes.
9] South Shore #1
This photo of South Shore, which highlights the island’s blues and greens, earned itself about 384 likes and shares.
10] South Shore #2
The South Shore makes a second appearance on October’s list, closing it out in tenth position as this photo garnered about 371 likes and shares.
