Court: 58-Year-Old Charged With Sexual Assault
Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Jan 16], a 58-year-old man was charged with a series of sexual assaults on a young male with the actions alleged to have occurred between 1975 and 1979.
The charges alleged four acts of indecent assaults and three of gross indecency.
The matter was indictable and will go to the Supreme Court with the man ordered to attend the March Supreme Court Arraignments.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo set bail at $15,000 with one surety; ordered no contact with the complainant; ordered that he surrender all travel documents and not leave Bermuda without the permission of the Court; and that he report every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to Hamilton Police Station.
