Traffic Advisory: 2017 KPMG Front Street Mile

The police have advised that there will be traffic diversions and parking restrictions in effect for the 2017 KPMG Front Street Mile running races this evening.

A police spokesperson said, “The motoring public is reminded that traffic diversions and parking restrictions will be in effect for the 2017 KPMG Front Street Mile running races on Friday night.

“The event is part of the Bermuda Marathon Weekend taking place from Friday, January 13th until Sunday, January 15th.

“Additional traffic advisories for Saturday’s 10K run & walk and Sunday’s Marathon & Half Marathon will be provided in due course.

KPMG Front Street Mile, City of Hamilton

  • All westbound traffic will be diverted off Crow Lane up Spurling Hill and along Reid Street from 6pm until 10pm.

Sections of Roads Closed

  • Front Street between Par-La-Ville Road and the foot of Spurling Hill will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 6pm until 11pm.
  • Burnaby Street, Parliament Street, Court Street and King Street between Reid and Front Streets will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 6pm until 11pm.

No Parking

  • Front Street between Par-La-Ville Road and the foot of Spurling Hill from 4pm until 11pm.
  • Burnaby Street between Reid and Front Streets from 4pm until 11pm.
  • No. 1 Car Park – No parking after 2pm. Gates will be locked at 5pm until 11pm.
  • No. 5 Car Park – No parking after 2pm and no access from 5pm until 11pm.

“Patrons of businesses along Front Street East are reminded that all vehicles must be promptly removed from that section of Front Street by 5pm.”
