Court: 19-Year-Old Charged With Fatal Stabbing

March 9, 2017

A Pembroke man appeared in Magistrates Court this afternoon, where he was charged with killing Raymond Butterfield.

Appearing in front of a packed court room, 19-year-old Mikiel Thomas was charged with unlawfully killing Raymond Butterfield outside the Blue Waters Anglers Club on March 5th, ZBM reported.

The defendant was not required to enter a plea as the charge must be heard in the Supreme Court.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunmbo granted the defendant bail in the amount of $50,000 with a like surety and ordered he adhere to a nightly curfew, report to the Hamilton Police Station regularly, surrender travel documents and have no contact with any witnesses.

Thomas is set to reappear during next month’s Supreme Court Monthly Arraignment session.
