Primary School Track & Field Series Champions

The Bermuda School Sports Federation track and field series concluded with the Primary School finals at the National Sports Centre.

S’Nya Cumbermack from Purvis Primary was crowned championship girl in the under 9 division. She won the 200 and 400 meter events, while finishing second in the 800 meters.

Other top performers in the division included Somersfield Academy’s Ellise Dickenson and Karis Brooks from Harrington Sound Primary. Dickenson was victorious in the jump, and was runner up in the 100 and 400 meters. Brooks won the 100 and finished second in the 200 and third in the 400.

Daylen Scott from Mount Saint Agnes Academy was the under 9 boy champion after sweeping aside all competitors in winning the 100, 200 and long jump. West End Primary’s Reko Outerbridge was runner up to Scott in the 100 and 200, and won the 400 meters.

West Pembroke’s Kemauri Darrell claimed the under 10 girls award after winning the 800 and 400 meters. She also finished third in the 200 meters. Brianna Madeiros from Harrington Sound Primary won the sprint double with victories in the 100 and 200 meters.

The under 10 boys title went to Isael Smith who won the 100 and 200 meters as well as the high jump. He was also part of the winning relay team and thus won the Toby Colombe Memorial Award as the top performer of the day. Nyan Grant from Warwick Academy won the 800, and finished behind Smith in the 100 and 200 meters.

Front Street Mile champion Ramiah Brangman from West End continued to impress after winning the 400 and 800 meters, claiming second in the 200. Dulche DeSilva from Northlands Primary school captured double gold in the 100 and 200 meters. West End’s Katherine Bean Rosario won the high jump and cricket ball throw competitions, while claiming bronze in the 800 meters.

The over 10 boys division saw a few top performers, however it was Ray-Jun Steers from Victor Scott Primary who was on top of them all. Steers won the 100 and 200 meters while finishing second to Jannis Roberts from St. George’s Prep in the cricket ball throw. Roberts also won the high jump and finished fourth in the 200 meters.

Paris Robinson from Elliot Primary School won the 800 and long jump and finished third in the 200 meters. Somerset Primary’s Jaelyn Grant won the 400 meters and finished second in the 200 and 800.
