Bermuda Carifta Swimmers Return Home
The Bermuda Carifta Swimming Championship team arrived back home last night, being greeted at the airport by friends, family, Minister of Health & Seniors Jeanne Atherden and Shadow Minister for Sports Michael Weeks.
The swimmers made an exceptional showing, winning an impressive tally of 39 medals, with 16 gold, 14 silver and 9 bronze.
National Coach Ben Smith said, “This team was just getting faster and faster as the event went on, the work that they put in ahead of time paid dividends. The Caribbean is getting stronger and we just need to make sure that we continue to grow.”
