Govt Issues RFP For Lobbying Services

The Government is seeking proposals from firms to “improve relationships with the Government of Bermuda and official of the United States Congress, and other relevant organizations in the United States of America. ”

The document said, “The Government of Bermuda is an UK overseas territory that services a population of approximately of 61,000 and is located in the North Atlantic. The Government of Bermuda is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced government relations and lobbying firms to engage decision makers on legislative and quasi-legislative actions and can serve as the conduit for communication with United States Congress officials and other agencies.

“The services required will include government political consulting, government relations and advocacy lobbying services, etc., in Washington D.C., USA. The selected firm will be required to be in compliance with and file under the Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA) and the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), which are under U.S. Federal law, overseen by the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives and Secretary of the U.S. Senate, and the Department of Justice (DOJ), respectively. Compliance with lobbying reporting requirements by filing disclosure report(s) on behalf of the Government will also be required.

“The selected firm will be required to provide political consulting and lobbying services to advance legislative objectives in the United States Congress and improve relationships with the Government of Bermuda and official of the United States Congress, and other relevant organizations in the United States of America. ”
