Couple Injured In Collision On The Causeway
An 88-year-old man and 76-year-old woman were taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged following a collision on the Causeway yesterday, in which the police said “it appears that the car involved collided with a wall.”
A police spokesperson said, “Around 3:45pm on Wednesday, May 10th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle damage only collision on The Causeway. It appears that the car involved collided with a wall.
“The driver, an 88-year-old St. George’s man and his passenger, a 76-year-old St. George’s woman were injured, taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged.
“Traffic in the area was delayed until the damaged vehicle was removed from the scene.
“Inquiries continue and witnesses are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
