Tech Education Forum To Be Held Tonight
“A move is afoot to provide full technical and vocational education off island for persons who have fallen through the cracks and or run afoul of the law here on island,” the Bermuda Technical Institute Alumni [BTIA] said, adding that “more details will be given at the “Education First” Forum tonight at St Paul Centennial Hall in Hamilton at 7pm.”
“Persons behind the initiative have signed a memorandum of understanding with operators of a private technical institution in Belize with a view to providing a unique opportunity for those considered outside of the mainstream and seemingly lost to society,” the BTIA said.
“More details will be given at the “Education First” Forum tonight at St Paul Centennial Hall in Hamilton at 7pm. The forum, The second in the series by the Bermuda Technical Institute Association, will hear from Tech Alums Wilmouth Elmes who holds down a top post at Columbia University New York, and get an update from Education Minister Cole Simons. The Bermuda Construction Association will speak to prevailing industry standards.”
