32-Year-Old Airlifted Overseas For Treatment
The 32-year-old male injured in a collision on June 12th on Somerset Road in Sandys parish has been airlifted overseas for further medical treatment.
A police spokesperson said, “At last check earlier this morning [June 14th] the man injured when the rental cycle he was riding struck a wall around 7:40pm Monday, June 12th on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near the junction with Cambridge Road, had been airlifted overseas for further medical treatment.
“The victim, said to be a guest worker, was initially treated in the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and thought to be 26-years-old.
“However, he was later confirmed to be 32-years-old.
“Inquiries continue and any witnesses that have not already come forward are asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788.”
