Collision Victim Airlifted Overseas For Treatment

The 46-year-old male motorcyclist injured in a collision with a truck on May 19th on Harrington Sound Road in Smith’s parish has been airlifted overseas for further medical treatment.

A police spokesperson said, “At last check earlier this morning [May 30th] the 46-year-old male motorcyclist believed to be from Smith’s parish injured in a collision with a truck around 11pm Friday, May 19th on Harrington Sound Road in Smith’s parish near Odyssey Drive, had been airlifted overseas for further medical treatment.

“Before being transferred overseas, the injured rider had received treatment at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

“The investigation regarding the May 19th collision continues and any witnesses that have not already come forward are asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788.”
