Bermuda’s Team Continue Play In COTECC

It was the third day of play for Team Bermuda as the 2017 ITF/Central American & Caribbean Tennis Confederation [COTECC] 12 & Under Team Championships continued in the Dominican Republic at their National Tennis Center.

The Bermuda team consists of Jae Gibbons, Airez Gilbert-Simons, Mackai Whitter, Antonio Warner, Matthew Way, Asia-Leigh Hollis and coach Steve Bean.

The Bermuda Girls went down 3 – 0 to the Bahamas.

Gilbert-Simons went down in straight sets 6-2, 6-1 to Genesis Missick, while Hollis was defeated by Kaylee Kanuka 6-3, 6-4. The Bermuda Doubles team of Hollis and Gibbons lost to Saphirre Ferguson and Kanuka 6-1, 6-0.

The Bermuda’s Boys fell by the same of 3 – 0 to the Haiti.

Warner lost to Jobson Coralien in a three set battle 6-3, 0-6, 6-2, while Way went down in straight sets 6-2, 6-0 to Joseph Eugene.

Whitter and Way teamed up for the Doubles and they went down 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 to Coralien and Eugene.
