‘Ensure Safer, Drug-Free Working Environments’
The Construction Association of Bermuda [COAB] will be holding a dinner and presentation by Vaughn Mosher on September 13, with the presentation to focus on how companies can establish policies to help ensure safer, drug-free working environments.
“Researchers in the USA have determined that heroin usage has increased five-fold in the last decade. Historically, trends that develop in the US tend to emerge in Bermuda. Employers are facing a greater risk than ever from a growing culture of impairment that shows no sign of tapering off any time soon,” said Vaughn Mosher, managing director of Benedict and Associates.
“Customers are pressing for more than just efficiency and productivity and now demanding that workers perform drug-free as an essential for higher safety levels & minimizing liability issues”.
“The Construction Association of Bermuda will be holding a dinner and presentation by Vaughn Mosher on the state of the local drug culture and what’s coming to Bermuda. He will discuss ways in which companies can cope and how to deal with chronic or urgent employee drug use issues,” the CAOB said.
“Mr. Mosher will explain how companies, both large and small, can establish policies to help ensure safer, drug-free working environments.
“The buffet dinner will be held at the RHADC and is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $50 for CAOB members and $65 for non-members and must be purchased by Monday, September 11. Tickets are available by emailing caob@logic.bm.”
